Security Through Decentralisation
On the CNS platform, there are 3 different built-in DApps.
DApp 1 - CNS Minting
The CNS minting process is fully decentralised. All CNS minting records are stored on-chain registries, which all new mints are checked against it for TokenName
duplication, ensuring all minted CNS are Plutus-guaranteed NFT with unique TokenName
. We also implemented a new data architecture, allowing for more than 4000 minting records per UTxO. With further registry splitting approach, CNS could power more than 1 million of minting in V1. All the techniques involved and innovation will eventually be open-sourced, to push Cardano development forward.
DApp 2 - CNS Auction
Some rare, highly-sought after CNS domains have been reserved for auction, which will be conducted on-chain and processed by Plutus script. The auction script will protect bidders from potential malicious actors. This also means not even the CNS team is able to access the funds locked in the auction, where it is a truly decentralized process.
DApp 3 - CNS User Records
All the user records, including virtual domains and social profiles are designed with a token gated system. All the records can only be edited by the owner of the record, who is the CNS owner, preserving the security of users data through decentralisation.
